On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, the new canteen in the factory has basically been completed. Today, I will take everyone to unveil the "brand new" canteen. Our new canteen has "Five New".

"First New": The canteen building is brand new. The new canteen has a building area of 1,300 square meters and an investment of more than 2 million yuan, which can accommodate nearly 370 people at the same time. It is divided into two floors, the first floor is a large stove, and the second floor is for fast food, guest meals and offices.

"Second new": new kitchen appliances and dining facilities. On the second floor, the pots and stoves equipped for fast food are in place, and some equipment is in place. For example, electric vegetable cutting and meat cutting machines were purchased to improve efficiency and reduce labor intensity. The tables and chairs newly purchased on the first floor are to be positioned. Lean engineer Zhang Xiaoming is coordinating with the staff of the canteen section to make arrangements.

"Third New": New management concept. The new canteen implements "4D standardized management". On July 6th, the Lean Management Office conducted a training  of "Canteen Standardized 4D Management" for all staff in the canteen section. "4D management" means: finishing in place; responsibility in place; training in place; execution in place. The new management concept is aimed at strict requirements, strengthening standard management, forming good habits, thereby improving efficiency and employee quality, and pushing management to a higher level.

"Fourth New": New management model. A head chef and two chefs were newly hired. The head chef is responsible for the overall planning of the recipes and the quality of the dishes, and other chefs or Commis Cooks assist the head chef to supply the staff meals. Fast food is on the second floor, and the kitchen stove and tableware are all well-equipped. Considering the habit of northerners who love noodles, they tried successfully to make noodles with various flavors. Rice fast food is also being tried.

At the same time, we established the "Staff Life Management Committee" to supervise the quality, hygiene and safety of the canteen meals, and also the civilized dining manner of the employees. They conduct "two-way supervision". The committee members implement monthly rotations. Their duty is to accept opinions and suggestions, and communicate and coordinate the problems.

"Fifth New": New payment and ordering methods. Workers can download the "Living Together" applet on WeChat, after binding, they can pay by scanning their faces. They can also perform "online ordering" in the "smart restaurant" of the applet. This will greatly facilitate the staff to order and pay for meals, and also save staff waiting time for meals.
